Morning city tour of Amman, taking in the old and new parts. Visit the old Roman Amphitheater, the Citadel with the museums, the mosques and the historical sites in Amman and surroundings and then return to Amman.

Amman - Dead Sea - Pella - Um Qais - Amman
Depart Amman and travel 400m below sea level to the Dead Sea; experience an unforgettable “swim” in the salt-laden water. Continue north to Pella in the Jordan Valley, exceptionally rich in antiquities. Proceed to Um Qais (Gedara), which commands a magnificent view over the Sea of Galilee, the Yarmouk River and the Golan Heights.

Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Amman
Afternoon departure for Jerash, the best example of Roman civilisation, the city was part of the Decapolis (the ten big Roman cities of the Middle East) and has been called the Pompeii of the East for its unique state of preservation. The city features theatres, churches, temples (Zeus and Artemis), a Nymphaeum and colonnaded street. Proceed to the Castle at Ajloun, a splendid sight with a fascinating warren of towers, chambers, galleries and staircases. Its hilltop position offers stunning views of the Jordan Valley.

Amman - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Kerak - Petra
Transfer to Petra via the Kings Highway, winding its way through the forested highlands, open farmland plateaus, deep ravines and the edge of the eastern desert. En-route, visit Madaba known in the Bible as the “Moabite town of Medaba”, famous for the mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Church of St. George. Stop at Mt. Nebo, the site where Moses died, and enjoy the panoramic view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Continue south through the breathtaking scenery of Wadi Mujib and visit the Castle at Kerak, an ancient Crusader stronghold, inside the walls of the old city. Arrive in Wadi Mousa, the modern village of Petra.

Visit the lost Nabatean city of Petra, the “rose-red city half as old as time”. Petra was carved from the dramatic mountains of south Jordan. The Treasury (El Khazneh) is one of the most elegant remains of antiquity. View the hundreds of ancient temples, royal tombs, Roman theatres and houses beyond the Treasury.

Wadi Rum - Amman
Discover Wadi Rum, with its pastel-coloured sand dunes, towering mountains, mysterious ancient graffiti, overwhelming serenity and quiet ambiance. Enjoy mint-tea or cardamom coffee before a tour of this moon-like landscaped desert in a jeep. Return to Amman via the Desert Highway.
