{tab Day 1}
Tokyo to Hakuba, Japan
Hurtle to Hakuba on an express train. Your challenge is to try & get a decent picture of one of the snow-covered mountains you zip past. Then meet your Trip Leader & get briefed on where all the fun’s at. This is it. Get excited.
Meals: Dinner
{tab Day 2}
Hakuba
Cue après-ski Hakuba style in Japan. Find your zen, then flock to the alps & take it at either beginner or ninja pace. Top tip: rent snow shoes to avoid an embarrassing ice dance on the way back. Later, the evening is all yours to head out for some yakiniku (grilled meat).
Meals: Breakfast
{tab Day 3}
Hakuba
Jump on a ski lift. Jump off. Repeat. After a hard (read: fun) day on the slopes, stop for a drink at an izakaya or refuel with a bowl of steaming hot katsu curry.
Meals: Breakfast
{tab Day 4}
Hakuba
If you want to try something a little bit different today, hit up Hakuba 47 snowpark then soak your sore muscles in the Onsen pools. How luxe!
Meals: Breakfast
{tab Day 5}
Hakuba
Take a break from the powder & take the option to visit the snow monkeys. Aww! Missed the powder? You can still ski in the dark. Go for a night ski in renowned Kashimayari at the southern end of Hakuba valley. So. Much. Snow.
Meals: Breakfast
{tab Day 6}
Hakuba
Last recommendations – for the skiers: Goryu & Iwatake for long cruising trails & uninterrupted skiing. For the snowboarders: tree skiing at Cortina’s ungroomed trails & terrain parks, half-pipes, gullies & powder bowls in Hakuba. Dig into a farewell dinner tonight on the slopes. No one likes to brag, but we do love sharing stories of our new found skills. Cue hugs & goodbyes before we head off tomorrow.
Meals: Breakfast & dinner
{tab Day 7}
Hakuba to Tokyo
Pack your bags & take one last chance to carve the morning powder. Then, jump on an express train back to Tokyo in the afternoon. Swap numbers & plan that reunion for the next ski adventure.
Meals: Breakfast
