Arrival  

Arrive at Kittilä airport & transfer to Hotel Jeriin. Dinner at the hotel.

Husky adventure

After breakfast at the hotel you have the morning at leisure to explore your local surroundings. After lunch in the hotel restaurant you will be transferred to the local husky farm. Here you will have a chance to meet the dogs & enjoy a short tour of the farm before setting out on 17km safari (two persons per sled). Dinner back at the hotel. on your adventure.
In the evening the guide will tell you more about the fascinating phenomenon of the northern lights, & the science & myths behind it. Afterwards you can join the local guide for a walk to a prime Northern Lights viewing spot. Here you will build a camp fire, toast marshmallows & enjoy hot chocolate around the fire while waiting for the lights to hopefully make an appearance. Overnight:  Hotel Jeris  (BLD)

Snowshow, kota lunch & cross-country skiing
 
After breakfast at the hotel you will be experience what it is like to walk around in snowshoes, one of the oldest modes of Lapland transportation. Then head to a kota where you will enjoy a picnic lunch cooked over the open fire. In the afternoon you’re get a taste of cross-country skiing. The ski tracks start right next to the hotel where the guide will teach you all the basics. Return to the hotel & enjoy a warm sauna before dinner.

Torassieppi winter village & reindeer
 
After breakfast, 10 minute bus transfer to Torassieppi Reindeer Farm. Visit a 100 year-old unique Lappish farmhouse & a small reindeer museum. Try your reindeer herder skills in lasso-throwing and by taking a 3km reindeer safari in the forest next to Pallas-Ylläs national park with a reindeer sled. Then take a short walk to winter village with its ice restaurant, bar & sculptures. Lunch will be served in the ice restaurant. Bus transfer back to the hotel & dinner.

Snowmobile adventure
 
This morning after breakfast you will be taken to the lake so that you can try your luck at ice-fishing. Lunch will be served in the restaurant. In the afternoon you will meet the guide responsible for your snowmobile safari who will give you instructions on how to correctly handle the snowmobile & all the various safety regulations you have to observe. Then the adventure begins as you drive through snow covered forests, over frozen lakes and swamps through perfect fell scenery. The tour will cover approximately 30km & requires two persons to share a snowmobile (unless a single driver supplement is payed). Dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day at leisure

Today will be entirely at your leisure. You can relax in the hotel grounds, have another go with snow-shoes or at cross-country skiing, or venture out to either Muonio or Levi for the day. Lunch will be severed in the hotel restaurant or you can opt to have a packed lunch box to take out with you. Tonight there will be a special Lappish dinner at the hotel restaurant.
