Itinerary
Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury Cathedral800-year-old Salisbury Cathedral is a world-class heritage site; it’s graceful, soaring Gothic architecture and soft golden colour make this a true beauty. The towering spire is the tallest in England (123 metres). You will visit exquisite Chapter House, home to one of only 4 surviving copies of The Magna Carta (Latin for ‘Great Charter’) – a manuscript dating back to 1215 which established the principle that the king was not above the law.You will also see Europe’s oldest working clock, dating back to 1386.
Stonehenge
Who built Stonehenge – and why – is a mystery until today. How these enormous 40-ton stones were dragged from Wales (over 280 miles away) and placed in this circular formation is also under debate (although legend has it, Merlin conjured them there). The most popular theories are that Stonehenge was either a religious temple or astronomical clock (or both), and a visit to England is not complete without a trip to this 5000-year-old site.
Bath
Bath is an elegant Georgian city, liberally dotted with terraces, crescents and beautiful architecture. We take you on a panoramic tour of the city, ending at the Roman Baths – built over 2000 years ago.
